Hair grows about 1cm a month.
It grows around 1.5cm to 2cm in 6 weeks.
2cm might does not sound a matter to you but these are the things you will find when the hair is 2cm longer.
- Ends start to get dry
- Layers will start to loose its shape
- Clean, sharp cut line will disappear (bob, lob style)
Having haircut every 6 to 8 weeks would solve most of the hair concerns as hair condition will start to change when the hair is about 2cm longer.
I am introducing an example of one of my client who gets her hair cut and coloured every 6 weeks.
She is successfully having her hair condition good all the time. And I am so happy to be able to try many kind of colour that she is enjoying for.
How does the hairstyle look if the hair is maintained at hair salon every 6 weeks
Let’s take a look how you can maintain your hair and enjoy your hairstyle if you get your hair done every 6 weeks.
Highlighted her hair to add some dimension and volume to her one length hair style.
Added more highlights and layered on the top to create more dimensional look that creates body and texture.
Darken the base and toned down the highlights.
We started to grow the layer to make one length lob.
Trimmed the ends and toned down the colour. This is almost one length.
After 6 weeks, back to layered style.
Face framing layers make the look totally different.
Coloured caramel brown aiming the highlights will show as the colour fades.
This is the recent style.
Difference between this style and the last style is shorter face-framing layers with this style that creates movement when the hair is pushed back.
Maintaining the hair regularly at hair salon is not just trimming or touching up the colour, but also to keep the hair in good condition that makes you possible to try new hair colour or new hair cut. That’s how my client and I keep minor changing hair style considering hair condition.
